What is cultivated meat?
1.
Taking a sample
First, a small cell sample is taken from a live animal. This is done via a harmless biopsy.

2.
Simulating the environment
The cells enter the bioreactor which simulates the body of the animal. It provides the same warmth and nutrients for the cells to grow: amino acids, fats and vitamins.

3.
Cell division
The cells will divide and grow naturally.

4.
End product
After just a few weeks the cells have formed into a slaughter-free burger and the animal is free to roam around.
